1.Takaba and Kenjaku’s Joke-Off:
Takaba and Kenjaku enter the stage at the start of the chapter, prepared to entertain the audience with a comedic performance. They identify themselves as Pinch and Chance, but Takaba tells Kenjaku what their true names are, correcting him. Takaba starts his joke by referring to Momotaro, a well-known Japanese folktale about a kid who was born from a peach and embarked on an adventure with his animal companions, at the beginning of his joke. However Kenjaku cuts him off, claiming that since he was fatherless, he was unaware of the tale. Then, in a melancholy tale, he recalls his loving mother who used to tell him stories like Momotaro. Takaba understands that Kenjaku is attempting to undermine his humor by making it seem so melancholy and sentimental.
After that, the two act out the narrative of Momotaro, with Takaba portraying the peach child and Kenjaku portraying his animal friends. Takaba isn’t used to Kenjaku’s more adult jokes, though, such the ones about Momotaro being born from a peach instead of eating it or about his seducing the ogres rather than battling them. Takaba is called an idiot and a loser by Kenjaku, who also makes fun of his appearance and demeanor. Takaba attempts to answer Kenjaku’s jokes with his own, but it is obvious that he is not as successful.
2.Takaba’s Final Smile:
As the show goes on, Takaba starts to feel sad, realizing that this is his last performance and that he will die soon. He confesses that this was his dream show, and that he always wanted to make people laugh. He thanks Kenjaku for being his partner, and starts crying. Kenjaku consoles him, and tells him that he is hilarious. The audience also applauds them, and they bow together.
But suddenly the scene changes to reality, with Takaba laying on the ground dressed in the deceased’s clothing. Upon his forehead, a white spirit headband signifies that he has expended all of his cursed energy. He informs Kenjaku that he is a dumb survivor and grinned again. Then Kenjaku gets ready to kill him, but before he can, an unexpected attacker attacks him from behind.
3.Yuta’s Return:
Yuta Okkotsu, one of the most powerful sorcerers in the Jujutsu world, is revealed to be the attacker. Yuta was formerly a student of Gojo, the strongest sorcerer sealed by Kenjaku. In addition to having a particular relationship with Rika, the soul of his childhood friend who passed away in an accident, Yuta is able to copy any cursed technique he encounters. Yuta cuts off Kenjaku after slashing his throat with his sword. Then he admits that he was waiting for the ideal opportunity to attack while concealing his presence with Takaba’s assistance. He promises to save Gojo and the entire planet, and he won’t allow Kenjaku to get away with what he has done.
The chapter ends with Yuta holding Kenjaku’s severed head, and declaring that he is the strongest.
