Concurrently, the emperor (Charles Dance) and the Bene Gesserit (Charlotte Rampling), under the direction of the Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam (Charlotte Rampling), scheme to use Paul and his lineage to further their own objectives. They deploy a group to Arrakis that includes the spies and assassins Count and Lady Fenring (Ben Mendelsohn and Olivia Colman) and Irulan, who is engaged to Paul.
