JJK 264 Recap:
The chapter begins with Sukuna trying to reach the angel and kill her before Sukuna gets over Fushiguro’s body. As Sukuna was going to attack her with “BLACK FLASH,” Todo protected the angel, and Sukuna got shocked by seeing that.
Sukuna Vs Yuji:
Sukuna turns around and sees Yuji chasing him, and he is once again shocked that even though he has suffered so many injuries and burned him, he is still chasing Sukuna. Yuji threw Sukuna into the building, continuously using the “dismantle” technique.
At last, Sukuna uses “BLACK FLASH,” but Yuji dogged it, and with that, Sukuna Regains his RCT (Reverse Cursed Technique). The King Of Curses waits for the perfect time to attack Yuji. Yuji is still giving a tough battle to Sukuna. Sukuna explains that Yuji’s “DISMANTLE” technique targets only the barrier between Sukuna’s soul and Fushiguro’s soul. But if Yuji can’t land a single hit on Sukuna, this technique is meaningless.
The Game Changing Move, Tables Get Turned: Yuji’s Long Awaited Domain Expansion
The scene shifts to a flashback, where Gojo explains how domain works. It’s like you get a “buff” or “bonus strength” in video games. He also says that cursed techniques infused with a domain are guaranteed to hit. With that scene to present, Yuji finally uses “DOMAIN EXPANSION.” The narrator explained that Yuji learned the fundamentals of barrier techniques through switch training with Atsuya Kusakabe.
The Domain Expansion transports both Yuji and Sukuna to a location that looks like Kitakami station in Kitakami City. This is a surprising twist, as not much is known about Yuji’s domain at this point. However, the location could provide clues to its purpose. The chapter ends with Yuji standing at the station, inviting Sukuna to go with him.
JJK 265 Spoilers:
The Power of Talk-no-Jutsu
In an unexpected twist, Chapter 265 shifts from the anticipated head-on encounter between Yuji and Sukuna. Instead, it goes into a dialogue-heavy section in which Yuji attempts to teach the importance of a person’s life by transporting Sukuna back to his earlier memories. This strategy, known as ‘talk-no-Jutsu,’ is a popular manga and anime clichĂ© in which the protagonist attempts to persuade the adversary through discussion rather than physical conflict.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
Yuji takes Sukuna on a tour through his childhood recollections, recalling his life in Sendai, his adventures in the park, and his interactions with various people and places. This storytelling style helps to humanize Yuji by placing the supernatural components of the story in a relatable context. It also contrasts sharply with Sukuna’s persona, who remains unmoved by Yuji’s stories.
The Threat to Sukuna
The chapter concludes with a dramatic shift in tone. Yuji, having failed to sway Sukuna with his words, resorts to a more direct approach. He declares, “That’s right, Sukuna. I have the ability to kill you. Release Fushiguro, if you come back to me, I’ll spare your life”. This bold statement marks a significant development in Yuji’s character, showcasing his determination and resolve.
Sukuna’s Response
Sukuna, enraged by Yuji’s threat, retorts, “It seems like you’re having a severe misunderstanding. I won’t settle for just slicing you into pieces, brat. I’ll kill everyone right in front of your eyes that you care about and hold value!!”. This response underscores Sukuna’s ruthless nature and sets the stage for an intense showdown in the upcoming chapters.
The Domain Expansion
Additionally, Chapter 265 referred to Yuji’s recently acquired ability, the Domain Expansion. Fans are excitedly awaiting the following developments as Sukuna gets captivated by this power, which appeared to be activated in the last chapter. According to fan ideas, Yuji’s Domain may have something to do with helping souls transition to the hereafter. This may suggest that Yuji wants to help Sukuna pass away in a respectable manner.
