1.Introduction:
The Marvels is a 2023 superhero film that features the characters Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. It is the sequel to Captain Marvel (2019), a continuation of the television miniseries Ms. Marvel (2022), and the 33rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Nia DaCosta, who co-wrote the screenplay with Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik.
The Marvels is a superhero movie with a familiar setup: a carefully styled girl group, a few flashily choreographed moves, and a villain with a grudge. But it’s also a movie that strives to be more than just a typical Marvel movie, with its focus on female characters and its exploration of the superhero genre.

The cast of The Marvels includes:

- Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel: A teenage fan of Captain Marvel who idolizes her and wishes to be like her. She gains superpowers after being exposed to an experimental device called the Binary Band. She becomes a superhero and a student at Empire State University.

- Saagar Shaikh as Aamir Khan: Kamala’s best friend who is also her roommate at Empire State University.
- Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury: The former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. who now leads S.W.O.R.D.
4.The Story:
In the movie, Monica Rambeau, Kamala Khan, and Carol Danvers form a team after they start switching places each time they utilize their abilities. The story centers on the fall of the Supreme Intelligence, which starts a civil war on Hala, the home planet of the Kree species. The planet loses its sunlight, water, and air due to the fight, making it empty. Kamala Khan possesses the other half of the Quantum Bands, which are recovered by Dar-Benn, the new Kree commander.
Captain Marvel, also known as Carol Danvers, has exacted revenge on the Supreme Intelligence after reclaiming her identity from the tyrannical Kree. However, as a result of unforeseen events, Carol is left to bear the weight of an unstable cosmos. Her powers become intermingled with those of Jersey City superfan Kamala Khan, or Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau, when her responsibilities take her to an anomalous wormhole connected to a Kree revolutionary. In order to preserve the universe as “The Marvels,” this odd three will need to come together and learn how to cooperate.
5.The Good:
The good aspects of the movie The Marvels are:
1. The performances of the cast, especially Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani, who bring their characters to life with charisma and emotion.
2. The action sequences, which are well-choreographed and visually stunning, featuring space battles, wormholes, and Kree-Skrull fights.
3. The humor, which is light-hearted and witty, balancing the serious tone of the story with some comic relief.
4. The themes, which explore the issues of identity, family, friendship, and responsibility that are relevant to the characters and the audience.
5. The Mid Credit Scene Because It Connects With X-Men. [Heavy Spoiler Alert] In This Scene We Get To See Beast. And He Says That He’s Going To Contact Professor X.
6.The Bad:
The bad aspects of the movie The Marvels are:
1. The plot holes, which are numerous and confusing, such as how Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel can swap places with Monica Rambeau without affecting her memories or personality.
2. The pacing, which is uneven and rushed, leaving some scenes underdeveloped or unnecessary.
3. The villains, who are bland and stereotypical, lacking depth or motivation for their actions.
4. The fan service, which is excessive and distracting, such as references to previous MCU films or characters.
5. The movie also relies too heavily on its female characters, with Kamala Khan’s fangirl shtick going on for too long.
6. How can Monica Rambeau activate one of S.W.O.R.D.’s devices called the Binary Band without knowing what it does or how it works? How can she use her powers for good without causing any collateral damage or attracting unwanted attention? How can she balance her work at S.W.O.R.D. and her personal life?
7. Why does Dar-Benn want to use the Quantum Bands to create a wormhole? What is his goal or motivation for his actions? Why does he hate Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel so much?
8. Why does Nick Fury want Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel to join S.W.O.R.D.? What is his role or purpose in leading S.W.O.R.D.? Why does he trust Prince Yan?
The plot also suffers from poor pacing that makes it feel rushed and underdeveloped. Some scenes are too long or too short for their importance or relevance. Some scenes are unnecessary or redundant for advancing the story or developing the characters. Some scenes are skipped over or glossed over without any explanation or consequence.
7.Conclusion:
The Marvels (2023) is a movie that gives us nothing to watch because it has a mediocre story that feels like a collection of random scenes that have nothing to do with each other or with the MCU’s overall vision. It has poor plot holes that make no sense or are contradicted by previous MCU films or events. It has poor pacing that makes it feel rushed and underdeveloped. It has unlikable and unmemorable characters that lack depth and development. It has clichéd and predictable themes that are not original or meaningful.
The Marvels (2023) is not a bad movie by any means, but it is not a good movie either. It is a mediocre movie that could have been better if it had delivered a satisfying story that tied everything together or introduced new characters or concepts that were relevant to the MCU’s future direction.
