“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” takes us centuries into the future, long after the events of the previous trilogy. The human population has been decimated and rendered mute by the same virus that granted apes human-like intelligence. The protagonist of this tale is Noa, a young chimpanzee from the Eagle Clan, who embarks on a quest to rescue his family after his village is ransacked. Along the way, he encounters a wise orangutan philosopher, Raka, and a young human woman, Mae. Their journey is an old-school adventure story, pitting them against natural, manmade, and ape-made obstacles that test their courage, their allegiances, and their ethical boundaries.

6.The Good:-

The film’s director, Wes Ball, known for his work on the “Maze Runner” trilogy, has proven himself a worthy successor to the franchise. He delivers a character-driven story that wrestles with issues of equality, morality, and diplomacy, punctuated by intense action sequences. The film’s visual effects, crafted by the artists at Wētā FX, are a visual feast, bestowing some of the most impressive visual effects in a film since James Cameron’s “Avatar: The Way of Water”.

The performances in “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” are also noteworthy. Owen Teague delivers an outstanding performance as Noa. Peter Macon steals every scene he’s in as Raka, an instantly likable scholar. Freya Allan as Mae is an enigma, and neither we nor Noa can be certain of her intentions. Kevin Durand makes Proximus an intimidating villain.

7.The Bad:-

Despite its many strengths, “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is not without its flaws. Some critics have pointed out that the film is too long. The conclusion of the film has also been criticized for abandoning the novel elements it had brought to the franchise in favor of more standard action fare. Some critics have also noted that the film feels like table-setting for a more interesting movie that could come later down the line.

8.Conclusion:-

“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is a promising start to a new chapter in the “Planet of the Apes” franchise. It offers a fresh perspective on the enduring saga, and despite its flaws, it is a worthy addition to the franchise. The film leaves us wanting more from the franchise, and it will be interesting to see where the series goes from here. As the franchise continues to evolve and grow, one thing is certain: the “Planet of the Apes” series remains a mighty oak in the forest of cinematic franchises, and “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is a testament to its enduring strength and appeal.
